MGM Healthcare is a 400 bedded quaternary care centre with special focus on solid organ transplantation. With India’s busiest heart and lung transplant program under the tutelage of Dr Balakrishnan, we have advanced to donations after cardiac death too, a robust mechanical circulatory support program in the form of LVAD either as a bridge or destination therapy in patients with Heart Failure. We are the only centre who has been performing Bi Ventricular pumps in paediatric age group where getting a size matched donor is a problem. In Kidney transplant, the centre is equipped in performing ABO incompatible & paired donor exchange to increase the donor pool. Our Interventional Cardiologist has performed country's first Tricuspid Valve replacement in Transplant Recipients
& have been frequently performing Mitra Clip, TAVR & leadless pacemakers , ICD/ Impala in pts with Dilatated Cardiomyopathy. The Neurosurgery Dept has operated on Giant tumours, embolization of aneurysms, DBS for PD, Epilepsy Sx, Neurohumoral modulation for Spinal Cord injury & latest to add to armamentarium is Surgery for Tinnitus. We will be commissioning a Cancer hospital in the next quarter with Varian LINAC on board.
