Vaginoplasty can be performed as a reconstructive vaginoplasty or a cosmetic vaginoplasty. Depending on the desired goals of the patient, the procedure is performed on a targeted area of the vagina.
Reconstructive vaginoplasty is carried out to repair vaginal defects which are caused due to disease or trauma. In this kind of vaginoplasty, the surgeon takes tissue from an area of the body and uses it to reconstruct areas of the vagina.

Patients may have one to two weeks to have proper rest post the Vaginal Rejuvenation/Vaginoplasty surgery.
There's deep pain for the first few days and you're not allowed to use any tampons or indulge in intercourse for at least eight weeks. 


Do's :
•    Sit on a doughnut ring for comfort
•    Shower with warm water
•    Apply ice for 20 minutes every hour of the first week
•    Expect some vaginal discharge for the first four to eight weeks
•    Avoid smoking for at least 3-4 weeks
 

Don'ts :
•    Submerge yourself in water for at least eight weeks
•    Indulge in any exertion for six weeks
•    Swim or ride a bike for 10 weeks
