Dr. Tushar Aditya Narain - Leading Uro-Oncologist for Robotic Surgery in India

Dr. Tushar Aditya Narain is a highly experienced uro-oncologist at Max Hospital, Saket, with more than 12 years of work history in performing robotic surgeries for prostate diseases. He brings advanced expertise in treating complex urological malignancies and performing advanced robotic surgeries in India.

Dr. Narain's specialised training includes a fellowship in robotic prostate and bladder cancer surgeries at University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where he spent two years focused exclusively on prostate and bladder cancers. UCLH is recognised as one of the largest centres in the UK for robotic prostatectomies and robotic radical cystectomies. During this time, Dr. Narain had the privilege of training under world-famous surgeons in robotic surgery, gaining extensive experience before returning to India.

Prior to joining Max Healthcare, Dr. Narain served as a consultant uro-oncologist and robotic surgeon at Medanta – The Medicity in Gurgaon, where he treated patients with prostate, bladder, kidney, and adrenal cancers using robotic surgery. He also worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Urology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Dr. Narain's impressive academic journey includes completing his M.Ch. in Urology from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research as well as his Masters in Surgery from AIIMS, New Delhi.

His medical education began at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, where he completed his MBBS. Dr. Narain’s skill in performing robotic surgeries then led him to Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, USA, for a month of advanced training in uro-oncology and robotic surgeries under the mentorship of Dr. Ash Tewari. He alsotrained under Dr. Sudhir Rawal at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre in New Delhi.

Dr. Narain has authored more than fifty research papers published in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to five book chapters on uro-oncology and robotic surgery. His expertise spans various urological malignancies, including cancers of the prostate, kidneys, bladder, ureters, testes, and penis.

At present, he leads the Urologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery team at Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital in Saket. His areas of speciality include:
