Dr. Jalaj Baxi - Experienced Oncology Surgeon in India

Dr. Jalaj Baxi is an experienced oncology surgeon in India with more than 30 years of specialisation in performing comprehensive and result-orientated oncology procedures. Currently, Dr. Jalaj Baxi serves as the director of the International Oncology Cancer Institute and as a senior consultant in surgical oncology at Fortis Hospitals, where he has not only treated countless patients but has also guided and mentored a generation of surgeons who carry forward his legacy.

Dr. Baxi brings specialised expertise in the treatment of gastrointestinal, colorectal, and gynaecological cancers. His foundational training was at the Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute in Ahmedabad, after which he went on to receive advanced training at famous international institutions, like the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York and Kameda Hospital in Japan. These experiences have polished his skills, made him technologically advanced and serve with a patient-centric philosophy.

An academic, Dr. Baxi has over 14 years of extensive teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has served as faculty and held key teaching roles at institutions such as the Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Nepal, Mahatma Gandhi National Institute of Medical Sciences in Jaipur, Bombay Hospital in Mumbai, and Gujarat Cancer Research Institute in Ahmedabad. During his tenure at Manipal College, he was also the in-charge of the Manipal Cancer Centre in Nepal.

Dr. Baxi also believes in medical advancement and is an active contributor to the field of oncology through research, publications, and academic writing. He has presented papers at national and international conferences and has contributed as a co-author to several chapters in surgical oncology textbooks.
