Dr. Sood completed his MBBS and MS from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, and M. Ch. from AIIMS, New Delhi. He received the gold medal for his performance in MBBS, MS, and M. Ch. As a surgeon, he has received many awards and recognitions across the world he was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal by the President of India for performance beyond the call of duty. He launched the green laser prostate surgery in India. He is also the pioneer in affordable robotised laparoscopic surgery in North India. He is a member of the Urology Society in India.
Over 23 years, Dr. Sood has served in the Armed Forces. He is currently heading the Urology, Andrology, Robotics, and Renal Transplant program at Sanar International Hospital.
