Dr. Ankur Bahl - Leading Medical Onco Doctor in India

Dr. Ankur Bahl is a distinguished medical onco doctor in India with over 15 years of experience in the field of oncology. He is known for his expertise in immunotherapy, targeted therapies, chemotherapy combinations, hormonal therapy, and supportive and palliative care. Dr. Bahl is an alumnus of Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, where he completed his MBBS and MD in medicine. His medical education laid the foundation for his expertise in the field of medicine. Afterward, he pursued an MD in internal medicine from the same institution, completing it in 2007, where he gained a complete understanding of internal medicine.

To specialise in oncology, Dr. Bahl then enrolled in the DM program at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He earned his DM degree in 2012, getting in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in the treatment of various cancers, including both solid tumours and haematological malignancies.

To further broaden his expertise, Dr. Bahl also completed a specialised course in adverse drug reactions, drug interactions, and pharmacovigilance at the University of Oxford, UK. This helped him specialise and gain expertise, particularly in the field of oncology.

As a researcher, Dr. Bahl has also contributed to the studies done for medical oncology. He is the lead author of the largest real-world Indian data on targeted therapy in head and neck cancer, acute myeloid leukaemia treatment, and human papillomavirus trends in the Indian population, among others. His work continues to shape oncology treatment strategies and heal the patients.

Before joining FMRI, Gurugram, Dr. Bahl served as the Director of Medical Oncology and Haematology Oncology at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket. He has also held important positions at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre and Maulana Azad Medical College, where he was recognised among his patients for providing comprehensive and patient-centric treatments.
