Dr. Pramod Kumar Pandey is a highly skilled squint surgeon with over 30 years of experience in the field. He has completed his medical degree from AIIMS Delhi. He has conducted numerous successful surgeries for patients with squint, lazy eye, and other eye-related issues. He has also published several research papers in leading medical journals and has been honored with various awards for his contributions to the medical field. Dr. PK Pandey has a patient-centric approach and always strives to provide the best care to his patients.

Work Experience– Have been working as unit head since December 1997, managing a clinical unit of 30 beds as head of unit.

Extensive clinical, teaching, administrative and research experience of about 35 years as faculty member. I have specialized in strabismus, Neuro ophthalmology and cataract surgery. I have been performing on an average about 6 -10 cataract surgeries and 4 to 6 squint surgeries per OT, twice a week for almost 25 years. I have been managing complex strabismus and Neuro-ophthalmology cases over 35 years. I have extensive teaching experience of undergraduate, post graduate teaching of about 35 years. About 25 MS, Ophthalmology students have written thesis under me as thesis supervisor under Delhi University. Have been examiner for many universities and Delhi University for MBBS, MS degrees. Have been examiner for many years for DNB. Done accreditation for DNB. Made question banks for DNB.

• Worked as assistant Professor at Lady Hardinge Medical college wef 3/12/85 till 24/9/86
• Transferred to Guru Nanak Eye Centre, MAMC wef 24/9/86 as assistant professor, worked as assistant professor till 7/3/89.
• Appointed as associate professor wef 8/3/89, worked till 2/12/93.
• Appointed as Professor wef  3/12/93 worked as Professor till 30/10/2008
• Appointed as Director Professor wef 30/10/2008 and worked till 30/9/2020.
• Superannuated on 30/9/2020 on attaining age of 65 years.

Membership of scientific bodies, Awards- I am life member of AIOS, DOS and Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology Society of India (SPOSI). I have been awarded AIOS, S D Athawale Award for best paper in Neuro-ophthalmology in 2009 and Dr. P.K Jain oration from the DOS in 2019. I have won inaugural Annual AIOS award for best letter to the Editor. Attended many national and international conferences, presented many FPs and chaired many sessions in strabismus and Neuro-ophthalmology. Presented many Instruction Courses for AIOS as Chief instructor / co instructor. Peer reviewed many manuscripts for the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology and other indexed Journals. I have worked as Editor, Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology Society of India in the term 2017-20. In the present term 2020-2023, I am Secretary to the Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology Society of India.
