Dr. Anil Dhall is an experienced cardiovascular surgeon in India with over 43 years of experience as a specialist and presently serves as the Director of Cardiology Department at Shalby Sanar Hospital in New Delhi. With years of extensive experience in clinical cardiology, Dr. Dhall is highly regarded for his expertise in performing advanced and complex cardiovascular interventions.

Dr. Dhall has special interests in performing complex coronary interventions, chronic total occlusion procedures, peripheral and carotid interventions, endovascular aortic aneurysm repair, cardiac resynchronisation therapy, and congenital heart interventions. He has taught, proctored, and demonstrated a number of advanced interventional techniques across India and abroad. Along with his expertise in interventional cardiology, he also holds interest in preventive cardiology and in developing improved, timely and effective STEMI treatments.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Anil has served as Director of Cardiology at Delhi Heart & Lung Institute and as the head of the Department of Cardiology at Artemis Health Institute, Gurgaon, where he successfully re-established and expanded the cardiology department into a leading center of excellence. During his years there, he introduced advanced clinical protocols, implemented sensitive performance indicators to ensure quality and ethical practice. He organised a 24/7 acute myocardial infarction primary angioplasty service, initiated an acute stroke intervention programme, and helped coordinate multidisciplinary acute cardiovascular treatments. He was also important in the developments of international OPDs, academic collaborations, community outreach programmes, and training initiatives for doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff.
An alumnus of the Armed Forces Medical College, this doctor completed his postgraduate training in Medicine from Bombay University and his DM in Cardiology from GB Pant Hospital, Delhi. He served for 25 years in the Indian Armed Forces and took voluntary premature retirement as Senior Adviser and Professor of Medicine and Cardiology at Army Hospital. During his career in the military, he has helped set up and manage the interventional cardiology program and establish the first cardiac catheterisation laboratory at Army Hospital
Dr. Anil Dhall was also awarded the Sena Medal by the President of India in 2005. He has served as a postdoctoral teacher and examiner in cardiology; is a recognised teacher and examiner for the National Board of Examinations; and has guided multiple research projects under ICMR, AFMRC, and other bodies. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, the Heart Rhythm Society, and the Cardiological Society of India.
