Dr. Sushant Srivastava is a leading cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon in India with over 30 years of experience in performing heart-lung transplants and cardiothoracic surgery. With more than 15,000 successful surgeries to his credit, he is a highly regarded cardiac care surgeon in the country.

Dr. Srivastava started his medical education by completing his bachelor's in medicine and surgery from Patna Medical College. He then pursued a master's in Surgery and an M.Ch in CTVS from AIIMS, New Delhi, where he trained extensively and became a member of India’s first heart transplant team. During this time, he gained hands-on experience in over ten heart transplants and led to the development of the country's most extensive transplant programme. He then pursued advanced training in endovascular and hybrid aortic techniques, broadening his expertise in managing complex cardiovascular conditions. His work in repairing cardiac ruptures and aortic aneurysms was then widely appreciated, and in 2018, he was honoured with the Rising star in cardiac surgery award.

Through his three-decade career, this specialist cardiac doctor has helped introduce a number of advanced surgical techniques in India. He performed the country’s first stitchless valve implantation in 2015 and North India’s first awake CABG in 2006.
