Dr. Charu Gupta underwent Vitreo-retinal surgery training from Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai from 1998 to 1999. She has been associated with the retina service of shroff eye center since 2000 as a consultant.
Dr Charu Gupta obtained her basic medical training and ophthalmology post-graduation from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi. She completed her long term training in vitreoretinal diseases from Aravind eye hospital, Madurai in 1999.

She has been working as vitreoretina consultant at AEDI from 2005.
