Dr. Singh completed his M.B.B.S. from Guru Nanak Dev University, followed by an M.S. in Surgery, where he earned the Silver Medal of First Order at PGIMER-Chandigarh. He further specialised with an M.Ch. in neurosurgery from AIIMS in New Delhi, graduating as a top student with top grades.

The name of this specialist surgeon is often considered synonymous with pioneering work in skull-base and brain-stem surgery, with a special focus on treating brain tumours in the cavernous sinus.
