With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Vaibhaw Kumar is a specialist in the field of Liver Transplantation and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary surgery in India. He currently serves as the Director of Liver Transplant, GI & HPB surgeries at Paras Health, a leading multispecialist hospital in Delhi NCR and is recognised among his patients for his commitment to saving lives and advancing surgical care, particularly in complex liver and biliary conditions.

Dr. Kumar began his medical education at the Government Medical College in Nagpur, where he earned his MBBS degree. He went on to pursue a Master’s in General Surgery from Delhi University, from where he graduated as a top student. Wanting to gain further specialisation in this field, he further obtained an M.Ch. in GI, HPB, and Liver Transplant Surgery from the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), where he was trained by national and international hepatology experts.

Over the years, Dr. Kumar is known for his surgical expertise in areas such as gall bladder cancer, living donor liver transplants, pediatric liver transplants, and liver cancer surgeries. His hands-on involvement in more than 2,000 liver transplants and complex HPB surgeries speaks volumes about his extensive experience and surgery success rates.
