Prof. Ateş Kadıoğlu - Doctor for Penile Problems in Istanbul

In 1959, Ateş Kadıoğlu, the best doctor for impotence in Turkey, was born. He obtained his medical degree in 1983 from the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine after he graduated from Istanbul Boys' High School. He was a resident there till 1990, and after that, he became a clinical instructor at the same faculty. He advanced from the rank of associate professor in 1994 to that of professor in 2000. Beginning in 2002 and continuing until 2009, Prof. Ateş Kadıoğlu, an experienced doctor for penile problems in Istanbul, held the position of President of the Turkish Society of Andrology.

The Turkish Society of Andrology has appointed him to the position of Honorary President at the present time. He oversees the andrology division at the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. From 2008 to 2012, he was the president of the Turkish Association of Urology. Serving as the head editor of the Turkish Journal of Urology and the Turkish Academy of Urology, he is also the vice president of the Turkish Association of Urology.

The years 2012–2014 were his tenure as vice dean of the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. Being among the top penile enlargement surgeons, Prof. Ateş Kadıoğlu has extensive experience in the areas of sexual medicine, infertility, and prostatic disorders, both as a clinician and an academic. There have been 3,734 references to his 209 published works in scholarly publications. He is on the EAU's group that drafts guidelines for reproductive and sexual health. He also has extensive knowledge and skill in performing AMS penile implant surgery in Turkey.

While attending the San Francisco Faculty of Medicine in California in 1991, he took part in the sexual medicine educational program. The following year, in 1994, he attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, to learn about male infertility. His memberships include ASRM, ISSM, ISWISH, EAU, and AUA. European Urology, Journal of Sexual Medicine, Andrology, Andrologia, Asian Journal of Andrology, and World Journal of Clinical Urology all include him among their reviewers.

The European Section of Andrological Urology (ESAU) counts him among its board members. From January 29th to February 2nd, 2014, he presided over the European Congress of Sexual Medicine (ESSM). From October 1-2, 2010, he presided over the 6th Southeastern Europe Meeting (SEEM) held in Istanbul by the EAU. 

He was on the 2nd International Erectile and Sexual Function Consultation's pathophysiology committee for female sexual dysfunction and the 3rd International Erectile and Sexual Function Consultation's priapism committee, where he served as chairman. At the 4th annual International Consultation on erectile and sexual function, he was a member of the Peyronie's Disease committee.
