Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuncay Taş: Leading Penile Implant Specialist in Turkey

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuncay Taş is a leading urology and penile implant specialist in Turkey with expertise in the fields of penile implants, penile length augmentation, penile girth augmentation, urological oncology, men’s sexual health, and minimally invasive urological surgeries. He currently practises at Estetik International and serves as an associate professor at Nişantaşı University in Istanbul.

Born in 1980, Dr. Taş graduated from the Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2004. He completed his residency in Urology at the University of Health Sciences Taksim Training and Research Hospital in 2010. During his specialisation, he began his advanced urology training at SLK Kliniken Heilbronn, which is affiliated with Heidelberg University in Germany, where he completed a fellowship in Urological Oncology and Laparoscopic Urology. This early international experience shaped his expertise and skills as a urology specialist

With over 15 years of post-specialisation experience and more than 20 years in medicine, Dr. Taş has developed a name for himself for performing highly precise and minimally invasive urology and urological cancer surgeries, especially for prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancers. He is best known for performing procedures such as penile implant surgery that preserve sexual function, minimise blood loss, and have quick recovery and help his patients live a good quality of life.

As an instructor with the International Society for Stem Cell Applications, he has contributed to integrating regenerative medicine into urologic practice for more effective results. He and his team were the first in Turkey to present scientific findings on the use of Platelet-Rich Plasma combined with SVF for erectile dysfunction treatment. His work in this area has been featured at international congresses and published in many peer-reviewed journals. At Estetik international, Dr. Taş has introduced Turkey’s first penile injection therapies using adipose-derived stem cells and autologous bone marrow mesenchymal cells.

Dr. Taş holds specialisation in a number of urological procedures, which include penile implantation surgery, penile girth augmnetation, robotic prostatectomy, nephrectomy, urethral reconstruction, and fertility-preserving interventions.

He is an active member and contributor in a number of national and international organisations where he collaborates for the advancement of urological medicine, including the Turkish Association of Urology, the European Association of Urology, the Association of Endourology, the Turkish Medical Association, and the International Society for Stem Cell Applications.
