Prof. Dr. Önder Üretmen- Best Opthalmologist Vision Doctor in Izmir

Prof. Dr. Önder Üretmen is one of the best ophthalmologist vision doctor in Izmir, with more than 32 years of experience performing procedures for strabismus, LASIK eye surgery, pink eye treatment, neuro-ophthalmology, and more.

Graduated in 2009 with a bachelor's in medicine from the esteemed Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, he earned the title of medical doctor in 1993. Following the six-year course, the doctor then pursued a specialisation in ophthalmology from Ege University Faculty of Medicine. He then became an ophthalmology specialist in 1993 with his thesis on ‘Assistance to the Visually Impaired (Initial Clinical Results).’ Completing his specialisation, he was soon promoted to the post of assistant professor in 2004 and of professor in 2011.

After 29 years of dedicated service at the Ege University Faculty of Medicine, he decided to join Kaskaloglu Eye Hospital as a leading eye specialist and has been working there till now.

Dr. Üretmen is also an esteemed member of the Turkish Ophthalmology Association with a special interest in the Strabismus Unit, Neuro-Ophthalmology Unit, and Glaucoma Unit of the same.

His area of expertise is eye disorders, specifically neuro-ophthalmology and strabismus. Along with medical expertise, he is also proficient academically and has written 53 articles for national journals and 44 for international ones. Along with that, he has given 84 presentations at national conferences and 30 at international conferences. He has also contributed to the training of many physicians and specialists during the 32 years of his academic career.
