Prof. Dr. Özgür Kemik - Pediatric General Surgeon in Izmir

Prof. Dr. Özgür Kemik, a renowned liver transplant surgeon in Izmir was born in the year 1974, in the district of Kaynarca, which is located in Sakarya. He earned his medical degree from Istanbul University's Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1997 and after that, served as an assistant in the Department of General Surgery at Yüzüncü Yıl University's Faculty of Medicine from 1997 to 2004. 

Before beginning his academic career at the Faculty of Medicine at Yüzüncü Yıl University in 2010, he spent thirteen months gaining experience at the Endoscopy and ERCP unit at SB Haseki Training and Research Hospital. From 2010 to 2011, Prof. Dr. Özgür Kemik, a pediatric general surgeon in Izmir spent three months completing his endovascular repair and graft procedure training at SB Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital. From 2012 to 2014, he served as a Fellow at the Solid Organ Transplantation Unit at Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine International Hospital. 

In 2012, Prof. Dr. Kemik was named an associate professor, and in 2017, he was promoted to professor. Prof. Dr. Özgür Kemik, the best liver transplant surgeons in Turkey is a member of various professional organizations and has participated in numerous national and international courses related to obesity, surgical oncology, and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Yüzüncü Yıl University Faculty of Medicine was his previous employer, where he held the position of Specialist in Charge of General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Solid Organ Transplantation.
