Dr. Altan Yildirim - Leading ENT Specialist in Turkey

Prof. Dr. Altan Yıldırım is a leading ear, nose and throat specialist in Turkey with more than 27 years of experience to his credit. His areas of specialisation include sinusitis surgery, ear microsurgery, voice surgery, snoring, rhinoplasty, and more. He completed his primary and secondary education in Konya, then continued his studies at Kuleli Military High School in Istanbul. He received his medical degree from the GATA Faculty of Medicine in Ankara, where he also completed his specialisation in Ear, Nose and Throat. After graduation, he served as a Medical Officer in the Cyprus Peace Force.

He worked as an ENT Specialist at Sivas Military Hospital for more than five years and later expanded his expertise abroad. He studied for one year in the Otolaryngology Department at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Furthermore, he received ear microsurgery training at the Ear Foundation in Nashville and completed endoscopic sinus surgery training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He also trained in anterior skull base surgery under Professor Wolfgang Draff at the Fulda Clinic in Germany.
Dr. Yıldırım then became an associate professor at the ENT Department of Cumhuriyet University and subsequently served as a professor at Sanko University. After working privately in Gaziantep for over 8 years, he now continues his practice at his private clinic in Ataköy, Istanbul. He speaks fluent English and has a number of national and international publications to his name.

This ENT doctor also believes in staying updated with the latest medical advancements and is hence a member of the American Rhinologic Society, the Turkish Facial Plastic Surgery Association, and the Turkish Ear, Nose, Throat, Head, and Neck Surgery Association.
